The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reportedly filed a fresh lawsuit against Nigeria’s Attorney General in a legal move aimed at challenging fuel import licences granted to oil marketers and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
According to reports, the refinery is seeking to overturn the approval that allows certain companies and fuel marketers to continue importing petroleum products into Nigeria.
The development is attracting national attention because the Dangote Refinery is expected to play a major role in local fuel production and supply within the country.
